Head Chef Mark Potts
Our new head chef Mark Potts has hit the ground running and is raring to go!
Mark is extremely passionate about his new kitchen and working at The Mount Somerset, bringing culinary skills honed during placements in the kitchens of world-class names such as Noma, Le Manoir and Eleven Madison Park and his previous positions at Jesmonds of Highworth, Lords of the Manor and Fallowfields.
Not satisfied with just being a fantastic chef, Mark is also learning French in his spare time so he can communicate with suppliers and staff more easily, and he also found time to do an Open University hospitality degree in order to learn more about the business of running a successful restaurant.
Mark's food ethos is to get a prime ingredient and try to treat it simply in order to extract as much flavour as possible, and then let all the garnishes enhance the flavour.
